April 26, 2021 703

Weld on fittings are a type of hydraulic fittings in which a pipe is inserted into a recessed area of a fitting, valve, or flange. Unlike butt weld fittings, weld on fittings are mainly used to small pipe diameters. Weld on fittings are typically joined to pipe or other fittings with fillet-type seal welds. This type of hydraulic fitting is an ideal choice when high leakage integrity and great structural strength and important to your hydraulic system. Weld on fittings are used in a variety of applications, including:

· Lines conveying flammable, toxic, or expensive materials where no leakage can be permitted

· Steam that is under 300 to 600 PSI

· Applications where ASME pipe is used

· Permanent pipe work systems
